the White House, the project exposed the true victims
of his Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy.
Lesbians of color were being expelled from the
American military at a much higher rate than the
white enlisted men focused on by the media. By
inserting a trio of vengeful butchs into the action
genre, DAM advertised a film that we as lesbians
would love to see but never would.
