Instigated by the growth of Far-Right, Christian
militias and publications for mercenaries such as
Soldier of Fortune, DAM S.C.U.M. re-examined the
concept of separatism by envisioning a lesbian
militia movement. Wallet cards and matchbooks
advertised an interactive phone-line that offered
callers a chance to listen to Valerie Solanas’
S.C.U.M. Manifesto.
